Kohup Sports was engaged by Far East Padel Pte Ltd, the owner of Ricochet Padel, to construct three new padel courts at Amara Sanctuary Resort. The project involved the installation of three complete padel court systems, including artificial grass turf playing surfaces and glass enclosure systems.

The rooftop location presented unique logistical and safety considerations, requiring careful planning and coordination to ensure that materials, equipment, and installation activities could be carried out safely without affecting the surrounding resort environment.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

The installation of three padel courts on a rooftop presented significant logistical and safety challenges. The elevated working environment required careful control of material movement, equipment handling, and installation activities. Particular attention was required when handling and positioning the large glass panels, while ensuring the safety of workers and protection of the surrounding resort facilities.

Solution:

Kohup Sports implemented careful planning and coordination of all rooftop activities, including the movement and handling of materials and glass components. Appropriate safety measures, access controls, and protective provisions were put in place throughout the installation process.

All personnel involved in the works were required to follow site safety procedures and use the appropriate PPE, particularly during the handling and installation of the glass systems. The installation sequence was also carefully planned to minimise risks associated with working at an elevated location.

Outcome:

The completed project delivered three professionally constructed padel courts at Amara Sanctuary Resort, each featuring an artificial grass turf playing surface and glass enclosure system.

Despite the additional challenges associated with rooftop construction, Kohup Sports successfully completed the installation with careful attention to safety, workmanship, and coordination. The new courts provide a modern and visually integrated sporting facility within the resort environment.
