Project Overview

Completed in 2018

Kohup Sports was engaged to carry out recoating works for three tennis courts at the Chinese Swimming Club, with the objective of restoring the playing surfaces, enhancing durability, and refreshing the overall appearance of the courts.

The project required a high-performance acrylic recoating system suitable for frequent use and Singapore’s tropical outdoor conditions, while maintaining consistent playing characteristics and a clean, professional finish across all three courts.

Scope of Works

  • Site inspection and assessment of the existing court surfaces
  • Surface cleaning and preparation
  • Localised treatment of surface imperfections where required
  • Application of a high-performance acrylic recoating system to all three courts
  • Court line marking and finishing
  • Final inspection and quality checks

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

The three existing tennis courts had experienced regular use and prolonged exposure to outdoor weather conditions, resulting in general surface wear and deterioration. The recoating works required thorough surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion and a consistent finish across all three courts.

Solution:

Kohup Sports carried out comprehensive surface preparation before applying a proven acrylic recoating system designed for outdoor tennis courts. The works were carefully executed to restore surface consistency, improve durability, and provide a refreshed appearance while retaining the existing court infrastructure.

Outcome:

The completed recoating works revitalised all three tennis courts, delivering improved surface consistency, renewed aesthetics, and enhanced protection against ongoing wear and weather exposure.

The project reflects Kohup Sports’ capability to deliver high-quality tennis court recoating solutions tailored to existing court conditions and the requirements of established club facilities.
