Kohup Sports was engaged to convert an existing rubber multi-purpose court at the Hollandse Club into a high-quality artificial grass turf padel court, including the installation of a complete padel glass system.

The project required careful adaptation of the existing court surface to accommodate the new padel court system, while ensuring a durable, safe, and consistent playing environment suitable for recreational use.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

A key logistical challenge was that the hoisting and delivery of the padel court components had to be carried out through a separate access location from the court itself. This required close communication and coordination between the project team, site personnel, and relevant parties to ensure that materials could be transported safely and efficiently.

The logistics also required careful consideration of safety measures, including protecting existing surfaces and facilities and providing suitable ramps to facilitate the movement of equipment and materials between the access point and the court area.

Solution:

Kohup Sports carefully planned the delivery and hoisting operations in advance, coordinating the sequence of works and access arrangements with all relevant parties. Appropriate protection measures were implemented along the material movement route, with ramps provided where required to ensure safe and controlled transportation of equipment and materials.

Through effective communication, coordination, and adherence to site safety requirements, the installation was carried out efficiently while minimising disruption to the surrounding club facilities.

Outcome:

The completed conversion transformed the existing rubber multi-purpose court into a dedicated artificial grass turf padel court, complete with a professional glass enclosure system.

The project delivered a modern and durable padel facility while successfully managing the logistical and safety challenges associated with restricted access and material movement.
