Kohup Sports was engaged to carry out the replacement of the existing artificial grass turf for one soccer field at the Swiss Club, with the objective of renewing the playing surface and restoring a safe, consistent, and high-quality playing environment.

The project involved the removal and replacement of the existing artificial grass turf with a new sports-grade turf system designed to withstand regular use and Singapore’s tropical outdoor conditions.

Scope of Works

• Site inspection and assessment of the existing artificial grass soccer field

• Preparation and rectification of the existing base where required
• Installation of new artificial grass turf system
• Application of appropriate infill materials
• Soccer field line marking
• Final grooming, testing, and quality inspection

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

The replacement works required careful removal of the existing artificial grass turf while preserving the underlying base and ensuring the playing surface was properly prepared for the new turf system. The field also needed to be returned to service with a consistent and durable playing surface suitable for regular club use.

Solution:

Kohup Sports carefully removed the existing turf and assessed the underlying surface before carrying out the necessary preparation works. The new artificial grass turf was then installed and properly secured, with the appropriate infill applied and the surface groomed to achieve the required playing characteristics.

The installation process was carefully coordinated to ensure a consistent finish across the entire field and minimise disruption to the club’s activities.

Outcome:

The completed works successfully renewed the artificial grass soccer field at the Swiss Club, providing a fresh, durable, and consistent playing surface suitable for regular sporting activities.

The replacement restored the field’s playing quality and visual appearance while extending the service life of the facility.
